| Texas Royal Poms' Health Guarantee Hereafter, Texas Royal Poms will be referred to as TRP or TRP's. Our puppies have been given the best of care and we are sure the puppy you have chosen will live a long and healthy life. Buyer’s Responsibilities: Have your puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery. If you choose not to, TRP is not responsible for any illness after this time and this contract is null and void. Please make an appointment with your Veterinarian before picking up the puppy. After the first 72 hours it will be the buyer's responsibility if the puppy develops an upper respiratory infection, pneumonia or hypoglycemia (sugar shock; there is only the possibility of this happening to the very small puppies). Please discuss preventives with your Veterinarian. Provide puppy with routine preventive care, such as but not restricted to: Annual physical examinations by a licensed Veterinarian. Follow your Veterinarian's guidelines for vaccinations & de-worming. Buyer assumes all responsibilities and risks of spaying, neutering or breeding. For the first year, puppy must be given a diet high in fat. It's best if you feed the puppy a high quality dog food specified for puppies. Puppy needs to be fed 4 times a day until 6 months of age and 2 times a day until one year of age. (Personally, I leave puppy food available at all times.) Have fresh water available for puppy at all times. Puppy has been de-wormed. Follow-up as necessary. Texas Royal Poms' Responsibilities: Texas Royal Poms certifies that this puppy is a purebred Pomeranian of sound body, good health, and free of communicable diseases as far as appears to the eye. The puppy has received at least one set of puppy shots. Every care has been taken by the seller to ensure the health of the puppy. Minor or common problems are not covered under this guarantee and are the buyer’s responsibility. If within the first 72 hours, the buyer's Veterinarian identifies a health issue which the puppy clearly obtained while still with TRP, and which results or may result in death, buyer must return the puppy, with registration papers and a written report from a Veterinarian, to TRP within 7 days of puppy pick-up. TRP will replace the unwell puppy with another puppy of equal value as soon as one is available. Buyer is responsible for all bills from the Veterinarian. If TRP replaces the puppy, the buyer is responsible for air fare, crate and health certificate, if needed. All puppies that are sold from Texas Royal Poms are guaranteed to be free from Congenital Defects, which seriously or fatally affect the animal's health, for up to one year from the date of purchase. These defects include Hip Dysplasia or other genetic disorders. If any such defects are detected by a licensed Veterinarian, a signed report from the Veterinarian must be sent to TRP. If TRP's Veterinarian concurs with the analysis, buyer must return the puppy to TRP within 3 days. If the puppy dies while with the buyer an autopsy report is required and must be sent immediately to the TRP. If within the 1st year a qualified Veterinarian detects a genetic disorder, that is serious enough to warrant the euthanization of the dog, the report needs to be sent to TRP immediately. TPR will have a licensed Veterinarian interpret the report. If TRP’s Veterinarian concurs, a credit will be issued to buyer for the next similar available puppy. We do not refund money, but we will give the buyer another puppy of equal value as soon as one is available. There are common disorders associated with Pomeranians or canines in general, and there are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors such as starvation, hypoglycemia (sugar shock), allergies, thyroid dysfunction, epilepsy, demodectic mange and other autoimmune disorders that are NOT covered by this guarantee. Due to Parvovirus or Parvo being so highly contagious, there is no guarantee for this virus. All puppies leave our home free of Parvo and it can be 'picked up' anywhere. Use extra caution with your new puppy until it has received it's complete first 3 sets of vaccinations. TRP is no longer responsible for the health and well-being of the puppies after they leave our premises. Although we do use preventative measures against parasites, which includes fleas, worms and ear mites, TRP does not guarantee against them. TRP guarantees a healthy companion pet, but does not guarantee adult size, color, and temperament. TRP does not guarantee fitness for breeding, even if breeding rights were purchased. However if there is a problem, we will try to come to an agreement for both the buyer and seller! AKC registration papers will be supplied when buyer picks up puppy or mailed to the buyer as soon as seller receives them. In simple words, I will guarantee what I can control. If there is a problem and it is no fault of mine and is something out of my control, then there will be no guarantee for that problem. I do my very best to insure that each and every puppy is healthy, happy and well-socialized. Please make sure you agree to all the terms listed in this health guarantee before purchasing a puppy! Thank you! Responsible Pet Ownership In the event that the buyer becomes unable to keep a puppy/dog purchased from Texas Royal Poms and cannot find a loving home for the puppy/dog, please return the puppy/dog to Texas Royal Poms! We do NOT want our babies going to an animal shelter/pound or to be in any situation where they are not wanted and we will be happy to take them back. Thank you!! |
